As they sang and danced, a purple rope descended from the heavens, lowering a golden chest wrapped in red cloth. Inside the chest, the elders found six golden eggs, as radiant as the sun. They carried the eggs to their village and waited. By the next morning, the eggs had hatched into six handsome boys. The first to emerge grew with incredible speed, reaching maturity in just twelve days. He was named Kim Suro, and he was crowned the first king of Geumgwan Gaya. The other five brothers went on to establish the five remaining kingdoms of the Gaya Confederacy, bringing order and prosperity to a land that had long been divided.
